Dear Friend,

From humble beginnings in Omaha, Nebraska, my family and I built Borsheim's into one of America's largest single jewelry stores.

Following the sale of the Friedman family store to Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, I moved to California to concentrate my efforts and express my passion for jewelry by specializing as a designer of distinctive pieces highlighting my collection of sophisticated natural color diamonds.

The web site is intended to offer you a glimpse into my craft.

As the Alan Friedman company continues to create unique suites of jewelry - pieces that instantly become modern day heirlooms - I will always remember my beginnings, my friends in the industry and my dear and valued clientele.

Most of all, I will be mindful of those who worked in "the trade" before me - my Grandparents and my Mother and Father - and the honor and pride I feel within me as a third generation jeweler representing a third generation of excellence.
